Kids Done With Their Old Mattel or Fisher-Price Toys or Barbies? Recycle Them For Free

POSTED BY
Laura

Every so often we alert MHOTC readers to a national service we find of interest. A few years ago, toy maker Mattel launched Mattel PlayBack, a FREE toy takeback program that  enables families to extend the life of their Mattel toys once they are finished playing with them. The program now accepts Fisher-Price, Barbie, MEGA and Matchbox toys.

Mattel PlayBack is super simple to use.

Visit the PlayBack website. Follow the instructions to generate and print a free shipping label.

Then, pack and mail the outgrown Mattel toys back to Mattel.

The toys collected are sorted and separated by material type and responsibly processed and recycled.

For materials that cannot be repurposed as recycled content in new toys, Mattel PlayBack will either downcycle those materials or convert them from waste to energy.

Fisher-Price toys include Laugh & Learn, Little People and Imaginext brands and more.

For more information on the Mattel PlayBack program, visit Mattel.com/PlayBack.
