Free ‘Little Car Jam’ Outdoor Drive-In Concert At Aspen Grove

POSTED BY
Laura

The ticket site now show “Sold Out,” but you may want to check it every so often up to the event date in case some people cancel their reservations. Littleton rocks on! Instead of outdoor concerts in the park, Littleton wants you to enjoy live music while social-distancing in your car. Little Car Jam is a unique outdoor drive-in experience and one of the first of its kind in Colorado. Colorado’s favorite funk band Funkiphino performs a FREE live concert on Saturday, June 20 at Aspen Grove.

Enjoy the live music from your car through your vehicle’s FM stereo system. So please check and ensure your car has working speakers and radio. You’ll turn your key to accessory mode to keep your stereo on.

While admission is free, a ticket is required for EACH vehicle. A limited number of tickets are available so get yours now. Tickets will not be available “at the door.” Tickets are only available online, in advance.

Parking starts at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. There will be no late entry or re-entry. Chairs will be allowed within a pickup truck bed, but large trucks and SUVS may be directed to park in the back so it does not block others’ view of the stage. Pets will not be allowed.

Attendees are asked to remain in their vehicles during the entire concert performance. If there is a need to leave the vehicle, a face mask and social distancing are required.

Please enter off Santa Fe at the light for Aspen Grove Way, near Chick-Fil-A.

This is so cool. I wish I had been faster to get tickets, but this shows there are alternatives to going to the movies! Thank you.

I just found out about it and got so excited until I went to get my ticket online and it is sold out! Bummer! Is there a wait list in case of cancellations?

Kathryn, We just found out about it, too. It looks like the tickets went really fast. I don’t know if there is a wait list. You may just want to check the ticket site a day or two before the event in case people return their tickets. As the event is free, there may be some folks who change their mind and then the site shows more availability. But this is a first for everyone, so no telling what the procedure is. – Laura

Nancy – We wish we had heard about it sooner, too. Hopefully if they stage another one in the future we’ll be ahead of the curve. Because there are so few events going on right now, tickets get snapped up in a minute! – Laura

Apparently there will be more of these concerts during the summer, but the website doesn’t allow you to get tickets for those either. To be fair, it would be nice if people who couldn’t get a ticket for the first ones could be given a ticket for a later one. It would be nice to have something to look forward to.

Lois – We will keep an eye out. Hopefully we’ll get an earlier heads up when they hold the next event. – Laura
