Bring your favorite four-legged friend(s) to Larimer Square on Saturday, August 16, 2025, to celebrate National Dog Month with a special FREE party. Held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Dog Days of Summer at Larimer Square will feature live music, freebies for pups (and pet parents) and a pop-up adoption event.

Attendees can enjoy live music by Denver musicians Alicia Blue, Sarah Slaton and Emily Barnes while the pups can visit an extensive line-up of dog-friendly stations, including:
- Dog Photoshoots: FREE professional pet portraits by The Unfound Door
- FREE Dog Treats: Dog Savvy will be giving away free cookies to the first 100 pups to visit
- Doggie Cooling Zones: Sploot Veterinary Care will be setting up cooling stations for dogs to splash around and play in, with frozen bone broth treats
- Dogs can also enjoy additional misting tents and water stations to beat the heat
- FREE Larimer Square dog bandanas
- Pop-Up Adoption Event by MaxFund: The Denver non-profit organization provides adoption services and medical care for injured, abused, and abandoned animals.
Ariat — the Western wear outfitter that recently opened on Larimer Square — will also be celebrating their Grand Opening that day with a party featuring a DJ, line dancing in the street and more.
Sip craft beverages from Larimer Square establishments – including Emerald Eye, Rioja, Garage Sale Vintage, NADC Burger: Denver, Corridor 44 and Osterio Marco. All partners will be handing out FREE canned water to attendees.
