This event has been canceled for 2020. It’s Lakewood’s 50th anniversary and they’re celebrating with one heck of a birthday party. Enjoy the end of summer with FREE live music, buskers, games and activities at the Civic Center Plaza on Friday, August 23 from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Listen to favorite songs from 1969 by The Modniks and get festive with birthday cake and balloon animals. New this year, talented pups will perform impressive tricks at The Canine Stars Stunt Dog Show.
Marvel at the talented buskers and magician, get your face painted, bring home a balloon animal or simply splash around in the fountain. Play outdoor games including ping pong, giant connect four, corn hole, bear pong, Jenga, board games and more.
The Kiwanis Club of Alameda West Foundation will be serving Colorado beer and wine from the beer tent. Enjoy dinner al fresco with food truck fare including sliders and tacos from Chibby Wibbitz and inventive macaroni & cheese from Mac ‘N Noodles.
And don’t forget to grab a dessert from the Scrumptious Ice Creamer. All food, beer and wine will be available for purchase.
