While Häagen-Dazs has no actual meaning in any language, it translates to “creamy deliciousness” for many ice cream lovers. For years, the popular ice cream shop hosted a FREE Cone Day in mid-May. During the pandemic, the giveaway was halted. However, following the pandemic, the details of the giveaway left many in the cold because it had apparently stopped altogether.

In fact, the last time we confirmed the giveaway was back in 2019! Well, it appears the cool giveaway has returned, at least, for this year. It’s just no longer branded as FREE Cone Day. And the promotion of the giveaway was muted. Fortunately, we got the details just in time.
Free Ice Cream Giveaway
On May 13, 2025, Häagen-Daz is scooping a FREE mini ice cream cone or cup at participating locations. No purchase necessary. Limit one per person.
The sweet giveaway is only available for members of the ice cream shop’s loyalty program via the Häagen-Daz Shops app.
Find the offer under “Rewards” in the app, which will need to be redeemed in-shop on May 13. Don’t click “Redeem Now” until you are in-shop and ready to enjoy your complimentary cone.
