Free Craft Beer Talk and Tap Tasting in Arvada

POSTED BY
Laura

Jefferson County is embracing books and beer in a big way with a six-week celebration (October 1 to November 15) of special events, tap parties, contests and a passport beer tour. One highlight is an adult-only talk and tap event on Wednesday, October 11 at Lamar Street Center. From 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., taste some of Jefferson County’s best craft beers while listening to TED-style talks from Colorado’s best brewers.

Tapped to talk are Tim Matthews (Oskar Blues, head of brewing operations), Tamar Banner (New Belgium, brewing supervisor), Travis Rupp (Avery Brewing, research & development manager, aka The Beer Archeologist) and Karen Hertz (Holidaily Brewing Co., founder). Half Pint and the Growlers provide the music. The event is FREE, but registration is required. You can sign up here. Must be 21+ to attend; valid photo ID required. 5889 Lamar St., Arvada.

For all the beer-related programs including beer glass etching classes, The Story of Beer talks and Tap Parties, the library has planned go here.
