In recognition of the national Clear the Shelters campaign, Cat Care Society is hosting a special one-day-only FREE adoption event on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from noon to 6 p.m. Stop by the shelter that day to adopt your new feline friend at no cost (donations are encouraged if you are able). All adopters that day will get a special goodie bag with cat supplies from Hills & KONG products inside.
Also returning is a small pop-up thrift shop, as well as Meow Mart, just outside the building where you can find fun cat-themed art, items and collectibles to bring home.
The shops open at 11 a.m., so you can begin browsing before heading inside to see the cats. Last year, the line was outside the door before the shelter opened, so come early if you want first dibs.
Note: All adopters must fill out an adoption application, present a government-issued ID and be approved before bringing your new cat home.
To save time at the shelter that day, organizers highly encourage filling out an application prior to your visit, and bringing your own cat carrier (cardboard carriers will be available for $10).
