Parade

The Miners Day Parade starts at 10 a.m. at Aspen Drive and Tipple Parkway. The parade will head west on Tipple Parkway, then turn south on Oak Street to Fifth Street.

Then the parade will turn east on Fifth Street to Locust Street. Finally, the parade will turn south on Locust Street and end at Centennial Park (630 Eighth St.).

Pack Burro Race

Celebrate Miners Day with this great sport begun by some of Colorado’s 19th-century miners. This 10K race will begin right after the parade (between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.).

The 10K race will start at Fifth Street and Oak Street (Downtown Frederick), head north along the trail and through the tunnel towards the Frederick Recreation Area, loop around Milavec Lake, head back south to the Frederick Gateway at Colorado Blvd. and Hwy 52 and then back north to the finish line in Centennial Park.

Wreath Ceremony

Starts at 8 a.m. to commemorate and celebrate the mining heritage of Frederick. The wreath-laying ceremony is a tradition of honoring and remembrance. Held at the Miners Museum and Memorial Wall (105 Fifth St.)
