The Orchard Town Center and the Colorado Homebuilding Academy (CHA) are working together to create a fun summer event called “Flower Power,” where CHA students and local artists create works of art in the form of beautiful patio planters. The decorated planters will be on display at the Orchard Town Center where you can view them for FREE from August 1 to 28.
CHA students and their instructors from the Academy have built beautiful outdoor planter boxes. CHA students were given the opportunity to practice hands-on construction skills by constructing each planter and then local artists from around the Denver Metro area were given free creative license to create and complete the masterpieces.
Not only can the public view these artful patio planters, but bid on them as well. You can check out the auction and bid online here. Winning bidders can pick up their planters on Friday, August 28.
All proceeds will be donated to CHA which will allow the academy to continue to provide free construction training skills programs for the community.
