Friday nights in the summer are made for enjoying the beautiful weather and unwinding from the long week. Head to Festival Park in downtown Castle Rock on the first Friday of June, July, and August for the appropriately-named First Fridays to enjoy live music, kids’ activities, food trucks, cocktails and a free 5K fun run.

First Fridays 5K
Start the night off on the right foot with the First Fridays 5K. Before enjoying the free concert, get a workout with the family. These unofficially timed runs/walks start at 5:30 p.m. at Festival Park.
5K races are free, but a waiver is required. Complete the 5K waiver.
First Fridays Concerts
June 5: Mallrats
Mallrats is not a band; it’s a time machine transporting you straight into the heart of a 90’s party filled with iconic sing-a-long rock.
With a visual production far exceeding expectations, Mallrats perform in front of a 24’ video wall encompassed by an explosive display of confetti cannons and a high intensity performance all contained inside a luminescent haze.
July 3: That Arena Rock Show
That Arena Rock Show is the ultimate high energy tribute to “Classic” Rock N’ Roll. Performing legendary rock anthems that ruled the airwaves in the 70s and 80s. Including artists like: Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Guns N Roses to name a few.
August 7: Six Million Dollar Band
The 6 Million Dollar Band delivers an electrifying tribute to the iconic sounds of the 1980s. With a focus on new wave, dance and synthpop, 6MDB recreates the music of the era with remarkable precision—capturing the style, sound, and energy that made the decade unforgettable.
From Tears for Fears and Madonna to Journey, Talking Heads, and Duran Duran, the band brings their timeless songs to new life with authenticity and flair.
