Friday nights in the summer are made for enjoying the beautiful weather and unwinding from the long week. Head to Festival Park in downtown Castle Rock on the first Friday of June, July, and August for the appropriately-named First Fridays to enjoy live music, kids’ activities, food trucks, cocktails and a free 5K fun run.

First Fridays 5K
Start the night off on the right foot with the First Fridays 5K. Before enjoying the free concert, get a workout with the family. These unofficially timed runs/walks start at 5:30 p.m. at Festival Park.
5K races are free, but a waiver is required. Complete the 5K waiver.

June 6: Those Crazy Nights — Journey Reimagined
Those Crazy Nights features a stellar lineup of nationally touring professional musicians who brilliantly emulate the sounds of Journey. Through powerhouse precision vocals and expert musicianship, they have harnessed the “Ultimate Journey Experience” with their supercharged renditions of Journey hits from the ‘70s and ’80s.
July 4: Ryan Chris & the Rough Cuts
This four-piece band that shares male and female leads features blazing guitars in a mix of old school country and rock and roll. Call it western outlaw, modern outlaw country, or just plain outlaw, they’re recommended for lovers of both classic country and ’70s rock ‘n’ roll.
The fun begins at 3 p.m. with family-friendly activities and a special Kids Zone featuring crafts, games, and entertainment. Stay for the fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. (subject to weather and fire restrictions).
August 1: Disco Revue
Get ready to boogie with a high-energy celebration of the grooviest era of music! This electrifying band lights up the stage with dazzling performances of hits from ABBA, Donna Summer, ELO, Diana Ross, Blondie, the Bee Gees and all your favorite disco legends.
With infectious rhythms, stunning and authentic vocals and a super-fun vibe, Disco Revue delivers a non-stop party that’ll have you dancing all night long.
