Families will discover two full weekends of FREE and fun activities Saturday & Sunday, May 18 & 19 and May 25 & 26 at Bass Pro Shops’ Go Outdoors Event. Events vary each weekend with giveaways, activities, workshops led by skilled experts and more. Remember that Bass Pro and Cabela’s are now under the same ownership so you have several locations participating. Here’s what is on the schedule:
Saturday, May 18
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Free sampling BBQ or hot dogs
11 a.m. — Outdoor cooking tips: Fryers
1 p.m. — Outdoor cooking tips: Grilling
2 p.m. — Outdoor cooking tips: Smoking
Sunday, May 19
1:30 p.m. — Kayaking workshop
2:30 p.m. — Paddle sports accessories
FREE Giveaway of insulated mug to the first 25 seminar attendees. Must be 18 years old or older.
Saturday, May 25
Noon to 5 p.m. — Kids can try their luck in the catch and release pond
Noon to 5 p.m. — Kids can have their picture taken and get a FREE download of it
Noon to 5 p.m. — Free Kids Craft
1 p.m. to 3 p.m. — Free Flossie’s Funnel Cakes and Uncle Buck’s Hush Puppy samples
1:30 p.m. — Kids Workshop on Camping
The first 200 kids to complete a punch card of activities each day get a FREE flashlight
Sunday, May 26
Noon to 4 p.m. — Kids can try their luck in the catch and release pond
