A Taste of Colorado Fills Civic Center Park

POSTED BY
Laura

Once again, A Taste of Colorado takes over Downtown Denver during Labor Day Weekend, September 3 to 5, 2022. The end-of-summer event takes place at Civic Center Park. Thousands are expected to enjoy performances on multiple outdoor stages, dozens of food vendors, a large arts and crafts marketplace, and an expanded Kids Zone packed with family-friendly activities.

Five concert stages will provide all day, non-stop music. Performers include Buckstein, Dotsero, Funkiphino, Nelson Rangell, Paizley Park, The Petty Nicks Experience Tivoli Brass Band, Walker Williams and many more.

A Kids Zone features plenty of family-friendly activities.

Delicious and savory food offerings will be offered by over 30 food trucks and restaurant vendors. A boozy bevy featuring dozens of local craft distilleries and hundreds of varieties of spirits, will transform the Greek Theater within the park into one big speakeasy.

More than 50 booths fill the Arts & Craft Marketplace selling unique wares, home and gift items, furniture, jewelry and imports. Peruse original works of art in Fine Art in the Park, a variety of mediums created by an array of artisans.

Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the Marketplace open until 7:30 p.m. Other venues have more limited hours. You’ll find details on the Festival’s FAO page.

More than 50 local and regional restaurants will be on hand as will food trucks, selling every imaginable type of food and drink. Tickets to buy food and beverages are NOT being used in 2022.

Civic Center Park is accessible by bus, light rail, bikes and the 16th Street Free MallRide. Using public transportation to arrive at A Taste of Colorado is highly encouraged.

Trains arrive at Union Station and the Theater District/Convention Center stations for an easy walk to the Festival.

Drivers have over 30,000 Downtown parking spaces to choose from within easy walking distance of the Festival. Do double check about the Mall Free Ride as there are some detours due to the 16th Street Mall Reconstruction Project. Handicapped parking is available at all public parking lots. Parking rates will vary depending on lot location.

Throw on your helmet and ride along one of Denver’s many bike ways to get to the Festival. While bicycles are not allowed within the festival grounds, there are FREE u-racks located at the Denver Public Library, the McNichols Building, the Wellington Webb Building, and Acoma Plaza at the Denver Art Museum.

For schedules, menus, ground rules, how to reach the park and more, check out A Taste of Colorado’s website.
