All aboard! The Rocky Mountain Train Show steams into Denver on Saturday & Sunday, April 2 & 3 at the National Western Complex. This is the largest model train show west of the Mississippi River. Make it a day or a weekend of family fun with nearly 3 acres of of model, toy trains of all scales and more than 20 operating train layouts including three large LEGO displays.
This is a great show for the young and the young at heart, whether you are just getting started in the hobby or a long time scale modeler.
See classic and modern trains from American Flyer, Athearn, Atlas, Bachmann, Blackstone, Broadway Limited, Kato, LGB, Lionel, Marx, MTH, North American Railcar, Rapido and Walthers.
Hobbyists will enjoy workshops and clinics, and more than 600 vendors selling trains, books, paints, scenery material and everything you might need to set up your pwn spectacular model train.
Kids can participate in FREE numerous hands-on activities including the Junior Engineer Program, Hands-On Layouts, Railroad Story Time, Kid-In-A-Cab, Tram Town and a Build-A-Layout project.
The show is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $13 (including all taxes and fees). Kids under the age of 13, BSA Scouts and Girl Scouts in uniform receive FREE admission. Tickets may be purchased online here and there are discounts for multiple ticket purchases.
Because the show is held at the National Western Complex there are taxes and fees that affect admission prices. The single ticket price has actually been lowered to $9 from $10, so when the taxes and fees are applied the total is $13. This pricing structure also allows organizers to ensure parking is FREE.
