The Colorado Rockies take to Coors Field for their first home game on Friday, April 3, 2026. Downtown Denver will be abuzz, many taverns and restaurants will open their doors for game viewing (starting at 2:10 p.m. against the Philadelphia Phillies) and there are several FREE parties you can attend either before, during or after the game.

First at bat is the McGregor Square Party. Located next to Coors Field, the Plaza itself will open at 9 a.m. with drink specials and DJ performances starting at 10:30 a.m. Watch all the action of the 66-foot big screen.

Denver Union Station Patio Party
Or check out the Denver Union Station Patio Party. Designed for the entire family, the festivities will kick off on the Terminal Bar patio starting at 11 a.m. Enjoy a Rockies brat while listening to Paizley Park – Denver’s favorite Prince tribute band – outside on the Plaza from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Free and open to all, guests can play games, admire stiltwalkers and show off their purple spirit with complimentary Rockies face painting.

Game Day on the Block
Another option is LoDo’s Dairy Block which hosts Game Day on the Block, a variety of baseball-themed activations and food and drink specials on Friday, April 4.

YumCha will be serving delicious Rockpile Dumplings. Don’t miss a live set by David Lawrence & The Spoonful Duo from noon to 2 p.m.
The Maven will be hosting Game Day Lobby activations from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., including:
- Custom Rockies branding by Ember & Stitch to leather baseball gloves, bandanas & more
- A Romero Cookies Pop-up
Poka Lola Social Club will be opening early at noon for home-run sips including a Well Shot & a Coors Banquet for $10 and House Pickle Shots for $8.
Kachina Cantina will be serving special Margarita On the Rockies and Frozen Purple Margarita all weekend long!
