Longmont leads the summer concert pack with musical performances throughout the community. On Thursday evenings, enjoy FREE concerts on the grassy outdoor courtyard of the Longmont Museum. The 2022 series runs June 16 to July 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Lawn chairs and picnics are welcome and concessions (including alcohol) are for sale. Here’s the schedule:
June 16 — Megan Burtt
Inspired by Joni Mitchell and Bonnie Raitt, singer/songwriter Megan Burtt has played music on almost every continent. In 2015 she collaborated with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra as a featured artist.
June 23 — Mile High Powwow Dance Experience
A breathtaking showcase of Native American dance accompanied by local Powwow drum groups and storytelling.
June 30 — On The Rise: Songwriter Showcase
Curated and hosted by Bonnie & Taylor Simms, the evening will feature original music from emerging, up-and-coming and established singer-songwriters from across the Front Range and beyond.
July 7 — Foxfeather
A sultry alt-Americana band founded in Boulder in 2013, Foxfeather is a local staple in the Colorado Front Range and also tours nationally.
July 21 — Delta Sonics
The Delta Sonics’ music takes a Chicago Blues base and seasons it with Swing, New Orleans R&B, and early Rock and Roll.
July 28 — Hazel Miller & The Collective
Hazel Miller is not just a great singer; “She is a force of nature!” wrote the Rocky Mountain News. The band performs an eclectic blend of Jazz, R&B, Blues, and original music, designed to make the audience dance and sing along.
The Museum is at 400 Quail Rd., Longmont.
