The 10th International Archaeology Day celebration is a FREE expo to learn, explore, and experience archaeology. Professional and avocational archaeologists from around the state will demonstrate, discuss, and bring to life the cultures of Colorado’s past at Roxborough State Park on Saturday, October 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
You can visit an Expo at Roxborough Intermediate School (7370 Village Circle East in Littleton), wehere there will be booths, lectures and hands-on activities. Then, attend a tour at one of the site visits at Roxborough State Park, Lamb Spring and Bradford House at Ken Caryl.
Lecture Series
10 a.m. – Jeff Brzezinski: The Role of Other-Than Human Beings in the Religion, Politics and Economics of Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica”.
Noon: Anna Cordova: Stewardship of Colorado Springs’ Archaeological Resources
2 p.m. – Jack Warner: Ancient People Who Lived in the Hogback Area Over the Past 15,000 Years.

Tours at 1 and 2 p.m.
