Golden Eagle Concert Band Spring Concert

POSTED BY
Laura

The Golden Eagle Concert Band, under the direction of Bob Tucker and Bill Gray will offer a concert titled Echoes of America on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Wheat Ridge Center for Music and Arts. Admission is FREE to the community; a suggested donation of $10 is appreciated.

Echoes of America will feature music from American composers including John Philip Sousa, Joseph Wilcox Jenkins, Henry Mancini, Leroy Anderson, and more.

The concert also features guest speaker, Missy Mendo, a Columbine survivor and Director of Community Outreach who has been invited to share the important mission of the Rebels Project, followed by a performance of the moving and emotional work, American Elegy, by Frank Ticheli.

The work was commissioned for Columbine High School to honor the victims of the tragic events that took place on April 20, 1999.

Along with heartfelt patriotic works and celebrated concert band repertoire, the band will also offer musical works from the stage and screen.

Selections include popular shows such as Frozen and The Greatest Showman. Children and families are welcomed for this engaging performance that resonates with the heart and stirs the soul.

The Golden Eagle Concert Band (GECB) is a volunteer community band, consisting of all ages and backgrounds.

7530 W. 38th Ave., Wheat Ridge.
