It may be the one time Front Range residents want the wind to blow. The annual Arvada Kite Festival is set for Sunday, April 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Stenger Soccer Complex at 58th Ave. & Quail St. The high-flying event thrills all age groups with the artistry of kite flying and friendly competition, along with musical entertainment, food, kids activities, community booths, demos, contests and non-stop fun.
Bring your own kite or buy a kite here. Bring your chairs or blankets and plan on staying the day. BBQ grills are not allowed at this event.
By the way, no dogs are allowed either — just too much commotion and kids running around.
Admission is FREE.
Gates open at 9:45 a.m. Parking is first-come, first-served.
