What a pre-Halloween treat! From the same folks that bring you Free Comic Book Day every May, comes Halloween ComicFest on Saturday, October 31. Comic book shops throughout the country give away comic books for FREE. Nearly 2,000 comic shops are expected to participate and give away over two million free comics to 500,000 fans.
Different shops have policies on how many free comics you can receive, but you will receive at least one free comic if you enter a participating shop location. Many retailers will also hold costume contests, so be sure to don your Halloween finest for a chance at prizes.
With full-size comics that range from action-packed superhero fare to adaptations of widely beloved films and novels and all-ages mini comics with recognizable characters from companies like Disney and DreamWorks, Halloween ComicFest 2019 is poised to attract readers and fans of all tastes. This is truly a fun, family-friendly event for all ages.
Use your “x-ray vision” to find participating retailer or, for the those without super powers, use the store locator to find a participating shop. Be sure to check for store hours, special events and sales, as well as any special conditions for receiving the freebie.
