All aboard! RTD is making new tracks, once again. On Friday, April 26, celebrate the opening of its long-anticipated G Line. With a total of eight stops on its route, the new G Line starts at Union Station in Denver and ends at Ward Road in Wheat Ridge. The new line will run between 4 a.m. and 12:30 a.m., with an expected 15-minute frequency (during peak hours) and a 30-minute frequency at other times.
The 11-mile commuter rail line will offer greater connections to more destinations than ever before, while transporting passengers from Wheat Ridge to Union Station in 26 minutes.
FREE RIDES: To mark the occasion, all rides on the G Line are FREE from Friday, April 26 to Saturday, May 11. Regular service begins on Sunday, May 12. RTD estimates the G Line will transport about 9,000 riders daily.
Even more moving (get it?), rides on all rail lines are FREE on Saturday, April 27.
