Fall is a great time to tackle yard work, prune your landscaping and add some much needed mulch around plants to prepare for winter. Bring your pruned and discarded branches and bushes to the South Suburban and City of Centennial’s FREE Chipping and Mulch Event on Saturday, September 14, from 8 a.m. to noon.
There are two locations to drop off your cuttings: South Suburban’s Willow Spring Service Center (7100 S. Holly St., Centennial) and the Centennial Public Works Facility (7272 S. Eagle St., Centennial).
This is not the place to dispose of huge pieces of wood. Organizers say they will NOT accept logs or tree trunks larger than 10 inches in diameter and lumber or salvage material.
FREE mulch is available at the Willow Spring location all morning. FREE Mulch will be available at the Centennial Public Works location starting at noon. It’s self-service, so bring a tarp and shovel to dig out your mulch.
For more information, contact City of Centennial’s Citizen Response Center at 303-325-8000.
