This year’s Dia de los Muertos Festival at the Denver Botanic Gardens is Saturday, November 5, 2022. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. celebrate with community altars, performances, musicians, art demonstrations, a kid’s craft corner, an indoor mercado, and, of course, exploring all that the Botanic Gardens have to offer.
Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday with ancient roots combining Mexican indigenous customs with European traditions. It is a tribute to the memory and family and friends who have passed away. Families celebrate by creating ofrendas (offerings) — elaborate displays commemorating loved ones — decorating sugar skulls and more.
Tickets are $15/adults, $10/members, FREE/children 15 and younger. You must purchase a ticket in advance for a specific entry time. Tickets will not be available onsite. Buy tickets here.
