Dancing Through The Decades, Plus Drone Show in Northglenn

POSTED BY
Laura

Time to dress up and boogie down! Head to the Northglenn Festival Lawn on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for Dancing Through The Decades. This FREE gathering lets participants enjoy different decades of music each hour. Gaytan Dance teaches some moves at the top of each hour, so you can enter each decade with confidence.

A DJ spins fun dance tunes all night. There are prizes for the best costumes (which are encouraged) and best dancers, plus booths, photo ops, food, drinks and more.

The 2023 Schedule:

7 p.m. — ’70s Flower Child vs Disco
Will your look be “Stairway to Heaven” and “Smoke on the Water” or “Night Fever” and “Dancing Queen”?

8 p.m. — ’80s Hair Band vs Old School Hip Hop
Will you rat your hair for Ratt or put on gold chains and a sweat suit for “Rapper’s Delight”?

9 p.m. — ’90s Grunge vs Country
Will you put on the flannel and jump to Nirvana or get out the big belt buckle and Electric Slide?

Best Costume Prizes are a $100 gift card for one winner in each decade.

Attendees are welcome to bring blankets/chairs to set up behind the dance area near the stage.

BONUS! Drone Show

Since the weather prohibited the drone show from happening at the State of the City event, it will be a part of Dancing Through the Decades! Exact time TBD.

1 E. Memorial Pkwy., Northglenn.
