Only the most masterful chainsaw carvers can turn giant logs into beautiful works of art and they’re gathering in Frederick to compete against each other! Chainsaws & Chuckwagons is set for July 16 to 19, 2025, at Frederick’s Centennial Park. The carving competition will take place each day, alongside family entertainment and food trucks (Chuckwagons).

Hour-long quick carves will be auctioned off on the spot on select days of the event.
Carvers will arrive at the park to pick logs and start their carvings at 10 am on Wednesday, July 16. Then, they’ll continue to work each day until 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Don’t forget! This is a competition. Bring the whole family out to see the completed wood carvings and vote for your favorite masterpiece.
Loop Rawlins presents a one-man Wild West Show performance at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Market vendors will be at Centennial Park from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday. If you like homemade soaps, jewelry, jams, and baked goods, take some time to browse through the booths.
