Have A Wild Time at Boo at the Zoo

POSTED BY
Laura

Halloween is NOT cancelled—at least not at Denver Zoo. Families throughout Colorado are invited to the Zoo daily from October 1 to 31 for Boo at the Zoo: Storybook Safari, a modified, masked version of Denver’s family favorite fall tradition. The Zoo’s 80-acre, mostly outdoor campus will come to life with costumed characters, enchanting animal experiences and festive seasonal fildood fit for a king or queen.

And Nature Connects, Art with LEGO Bricks will run through October 31 with more than 15 nature-inspired creations by Artist Sean Kenney, including giant LEGO spiders and bats fitting for the Halloween season.

The award-winning exhibit invites guests to connect to nature and the world’s vanishing species through life-size and larger-than-life plant and animal sculptures, placed throughout the Zoo and made entirely of LEGO bricks.

Both events are included in regular daily admission during the following hours through October:

Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last entry at 3:15 p.m.)

Friday to Sunday: 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last entry at 4:15 p.m.)

Timed tickets must be purchased in advance. You can buy them here.

General Admission (includes Boo at the Zoo):

Adults (Ages 12–64): $20

Seniors (Ages 65+): $17

Children (Ages 3–11): $14

Children 2 and Under: FREE

To ensure the safety of all Zoo visitors and members, candy will NOT be handed out this year and all existing safety and health measures will remain in place, including:

  • Limited number of visitors per day
  • Timed tickets that are staggered every 15 minutes
  • A modified one-way path around the entire campus
  • Hand sanitizer and hand-washing stations placed throughout the Zoo.

All guests ages three (3) and over are required to wear a mask or face covering at all times except when actively eating or drinking while stationary and physically distanced. Guests without masks will not be admitted.
