The importance of bees in our lives and ecosystem cannot be overstated. Without these busy pollinators, we would not have flowers, fruits or honey. The Bee Boulder Festival is a family-friendly event that entertains and enlightens adults and children alike and teaches everyone how to support and protect bees.
For kids, the festival features entertainment by Jeff & Paige, beeswax candle-making workshops, pollinator-themed story times and more. For adults, there are workshops with on how birds pollinate, disperse seeds, control pests and the medicinal uses of honey. It takes place on Saturday, September 28, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Civic Area of Central Park, Boulder.
