Mile High Flea Market is partnering with Adelante Community Development, a non-profit that advances economic and educational opportunities for local Latinos, to host its first Back-to-School Resource and Health Fair on Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Back-to-School Resource and Health Fair is open to anyone needing back-to-school resources and aims to help families with children offset the cost of back-to-school expenses.
Organizers will be distributing FREE backpacks and supplies for preschool students through 12th grade.
Basic FREE health screenings will be available for adults and children, as well as COVID vaccines, information about community resources, and assistance with Medicaid and CHP+ applications.
The event is free, though you still have to pay for admission into the flea market, which is $3 per person, and kids under 8 are always free.
Families are encouraged to spend the day at the Mile High Flea Market. There are have rides, food stands and drinks, and lots of bargains, so you can find back-to-school clothes, electronics and other items on the cheap.
Admission is $3 per person on Saturdays and Sundays. Children 8 and younger get in for FREE. Parking is FREE. 7007 E. 88th Ave., Henderson.
