Aurora Fox Arts Center’s Fox Flix Movie Series: ‘The Wiz’

POSTED BY
Bryan

Let’s go to the movies! The Aurora Fox Arts Center is bringing classic, family-friendly films to the big screen with its new Fox Flix series. The program aims to fill the void left by the recent closure of some of the metro area’s most beloved independent movie houses. Attendees are invited to sit back, relax and enjoy some of cinema’s greatest hits in the comfort of Aurora’s favorite historic theater.

Fun Fact: Before becoming a hub for live performances, the Aurora Fox originally opened in 1946 as a movie theater, making this return to film screenings a nostalgic nod to its roots.

‘Concessions, including drinks and snacks, will be available for purchase.

Here’s what’s on the schedule:

March 1 – Labyrinth

April 19 – The NeverEnding Story

May 10 – Pee Wee’s Big Adventure

June 14 – The Goonies

July 12 – E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial

August 30 – Who Framed Roger Rabbit

October 25 – The Wiz

November 15 – Encanto

December 6 – Scrooged

The movies screen at the Aurora Fox Mainstage Theatre (9900 E. Colfax Ave.) at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5. Fees may apply.
