Alamo Drafthouse Cinema (8905 Westminster Blvd.) in Westminster just opened its doors. And they’re making blockbuster moves with the announcement of its FREE Summer Movie Nights, an outdoor summer movie series. Certain to become a family tradition, the film series will launch with the perennial patriotic classic Independence Day on July 4th…of course!
A throw-back to the nostalgia of drive-ins, families are encouraged to start a new tradition and bring blankets and settle in for a night under the stars at the movies. Food trucks will be on site, and Alamo popcorn will be available. Each screening will also feature several select Colorado craft beers from Pandora’s Box, the full bar and restaurant space located off of the theater lobby.
The films will screen every Thursday evening at dusk from July 4 to September 5.
Seating on the lawn is limited and available on a first-come, first- served basis. Seating should be reserved in advance.
