How about an Easter Egg Hunt without large crowds, parking issues and the craziness of a 10-second egg hunt (wow, those kids can quickly sweep clear a field!)? The Wheat Ridge Parks & Recreation Department’s Egg-stra Special Easter Egg Hunt is out to change things on Saturday, April 9 by spreading the fun across three city parks — Panorama, Anderson and Discovery from 10 a.m. to noon.
Plan your route so you can hit all three parks. Start at whichever park is the most convenient and take your time.
Each park will have thousands of eggs scattered about for the kiddos. There’s a limit of 10 eggs per child, per park. So they have to hunt at all three parks to gather a total of 30 eggs.
Be on the lookout for special appearances by the Easter Bunny and Booster the Rooster (the new Wheat Ridge mascot).
Each park has a handful of eggs with prize slips hidden inside. Prizes will include Easter baskets, Rooted in Fun Swag, and Rec Center Punch Cards.
Keep your eyes open for activities at each park including bubble machines, sidewalk chalk, carnival games, and music.
registration is not required. Simply mark the date on your calendars and then show up for the fun.
