eSports is expanding to Aurora’s Central and Southeast Recreation Centers. Youth will be able to enjoy a variety of family-friendly video games for free on the most top-of-the-line gaming consoles with Rec Center entry. Grand Opening festivities are scheduled for the Central Recreation Center on Monday, January 5, 2026, from noon to 6 p.m. and the Southeast Recreation Center and Fieldhouse on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Each event will feature giveaways, food, prizes, video game-themed activities, as well as photograph and autograph opportunities with Miles from the Denver Broncos. Everyone is welcome to the FREE events.
eSports Hubs each provide a safe space for video game fanatics to connect and compete. The hub features multiple gaming computers, consoles and space for gamers and spectators.
The Central Rec Center Hub includes:
- 10 Professional-Grade Gaming Computers
- 10 HYPERX Cloud 3 gaming headsets
- 10 ACER NITRO 27″ Gaming Monitors
- Playstation 5
- Nintendo Switch
- Two 43″ Samsung UHD Televisions
The Southeast Rec Center Hub includes:
- 10 Professional-Grade Gaming Computers
- 10 HYPERX Cloud 3 gaming headsets
- 10 ACER NITRO 27″ Gaming Monitors
- Playstation 5
- Nintendo Switch
- Two 43″ Samsung UHD Televisions

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be hosted at the Central event at 3:30 p.m. and at the Southeast event at 4 p.m.
