Dino Fest Returns To Thornton on August 8

Dino Fest, a FREE science-based event for kids, is set for Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Thornton Arts & Culture Center and Lu Murray Park. Designed to engage kids of all ages using STEM-focused activities, the indoor-outdoor Dino Fest offers more than 20 interactive experiment stations with special programs offered by the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Butterfly Pavilion, Mad Science of Colorado, Mines Museum of Earth Science, Western Paleontology Society, and more.

Additional attractions include a free selfie photo booth, mystery box fundraiser, sensory-safe space, and baby dinosaur puppets from Front Range Dinosaurs.

Food and beverages will also be available for purchase from Dead Stop Coffee and Road Drips Pancakes.

The indoor/outdoor event is wheelchair accessible.

Limited handicap accessible parking is available at the Thornton Arts & Culture Center.

Additional free parking is available on street, at Thornton Elementary School at 991 Eppinger Blvd., and at Thornton Middle School at 9451 Hoffman Way. Both schools are within walking distance of the event.
