Due to anticipated extremely cold temperatures, the Denver Zoo has decided to close to the public on Saturday, January 24, 2026, According to their Facebook page, most of the animals will need to remain in their indoor habitats for their safety and comfort. The Zoo was closed on Friday, so it is no surprise that Saturday (which will be even colder) is affected.

Because Sunday is the SCFD Free Day, tickets are sold out. Hopefully, the Zoo will be open, but if you have one of the coveted free tickets, check the Zoo’s Facebook page or website for the latest updates.
