If you have a case of wanderlust, good news…Denver’s largest consumer travel event, the Denver Travel & Adventure Show, returns to the Colorado Convention Center on Saturday & Sunday, February 22 & 23. The show offers thousands of vacation options from more than 150 destinations worldwide, as well as travel experts, educational seminars and cultural performances.
Plan your trip face-to-face with thousands of travel experts right on the show floor, enjoy Segway rides, meet travel celebrities Josh Gates, Rick Steves, Pauline Frommer and Cheryl Strayed, attend dozens of educational seminars and save BIG with exclusive show-only specials and trip giveaways. You can even apply for passports right on the show floor.
Show hours are Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $15 for one day or $22 for both days. But there are several ways to save.
Best Deal!! Travelzoo is selling 2 tickets for $10 (with no extra fees!). You have to buy two, but you were going to take a buddy anyway, right? Tickets are good for either day and you simply show your voucher at the entrance.
Goldstar has “comp” (free) one-day tickets, with a service fee of $7.25. So you are paying $7.25 per ticket. If they are out of “comps”, you may be better off buying direct online (see below). We did the math and though the Goldstar tickets are 50% off at $7.50, with fees and service charges, you end up paying $13 per ticket. Goldstar will email tickets to you.
Buy online and a one-day ticket is $11 (+ $1.85 fee) = $12.85, two-day is $18 (+ $2.25 fee = $20.75). You can either use the AXS app to retrieve your tickets or receive an e-mail with a PDF attachment of your tickets, which you can print the traditional way or it can be scanned from your phone for entry. Otherwise it will cost an extra $15 (yep 15 smackeroos!) to have the tickets mailed to you or held at the Will Call window.
If you have yet to apply for a passport, you can do so at the Show. Applicants arriving with a completed passport application receive FREE entry. Read the details here for what you need to bring.
Kids under age 16 get in for FREE with an adult.
Parking at the Convention Center is $12. RTD Light Rail stops right at the Convention Center.
