Denver Police Hand Out 2,500+ Backpacks & School Supplies On August 8

The Denver Police Department and Denver Police Foundation will hand out more than 2,500 FREE backpacks to kids for the upcoming school year during the “Denver Police School Supply Giveaway” on Saturday, August 8, 2026. No registration or qualifications are required. Backpacks will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

The supply-filled backpacks will be distributed at six locations:

North High School: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Skyland Park: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Lincoln Tech: 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Central Baptist Church: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Denver Parks and Rec Open Space: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
