Here’s another addition to our thriving concert scene. Denver on my Mind that takes place every Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Black Buzzard at Oskar Blues – Denver. The series sheds light on the growing Americana and “all things country” scene here in Denver.
The organizer hopes to create a community where the best and brightest songwriters and performers from Denver and the rest of the country can congregate and build a community around this music.
Concerts are FREE, with food and drink available for purchase (but there’s no obligation to do so). Typically, you’ll find three bands per concert. A singer-songwriter opens the show, then a support band and a headline band. While the bands are mostly local, a few out-of-towers may stake the stage.
The Black Buzzard holds 300, so there’s room for people who want to dance and for people who want to sit and enjoy their food and drinks. You can come and go as you please. 1624 Market St., Denver.
