Win Tickets To See Denver Museum of Nature & Science ‘Jurassic Oceans: Monsters of the Deep’

All winners have been contacted and responded. Congrats to Mary Beth, Mike, Laura, Laine, Eric, Robb and Arnold. Think of it as “Jurassic Park” meets “Jaws” and time travel. When dinosaurs ruled the land, the oceans teemed with equally fascinating and fearsome creatures. But you don’t have to go back in time to experience a prehistoric underwater world as you’ve never seen it before.  The Denver Museum of Nature & Science has a new special exhibit Jurassic Oceans: Monsters of the Deep from March 21 to September 7, 2025.

The exhibition explores the life of ancient seas, from the mighty Jurassic plesiosaur to the colossal megalodon that lived millions of years later.

Striking fossil specimens show ferocious predators and unusual prey in their natural habitats and tell the story of how they adapted to survive.

Plus, the exhibition is filled with exciting hands-on activities that invite the imagination to swim wild.

It includes fossilized remains of marine reptiles, an interactive lightbox puzzle activity for reconstructing skeletons, a touchable megalodon tooth and mosasaur jaw, a magnetic ocean scene-building activity and life-sized reconstructions of prehistoric sea creatures.

“Jurassic Oceans: Monsters of the Deep” will be in the Phipps Gallery. The exhibition is completely bilingual in both English and Spanish.

While it focuses on the past, Jurassic Oceans has a “Marine Reptiles Today” section that highlights species such as sea turtles, marine iguana and sea snakes, which are the closest living relatives of the ancient giants.

The exhibit requires a separate ticket in addition to general Museum admission. Jurassic Ocean tickets range from $7 to $9.

Enter to Win DMNS Tickets

Our friends at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science have given MHOTC tickets to visit the Museum and see the Jurassic Oceans exhibit.

Each prize package will include general admission tickets and entry to Jurassic Oceans: Monsters of the Deep.

The tickets may be used at any time. The Museum is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and most Fridays until 9 p.m.

Limit one entry per e-mail address and/or household. (Duplicate entries will be disqualified.)

The deadline to enter is Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 5 p.m.

We will randomly pick the winners and contact them via e-mail.

Be sure to check your junk and promo folders. We hate to be like Scrooge, but if we don’t hear from you we move onto the alternate winner.

    My favorite ocean creatures are star fish. I can watch them for hours. Though, my daughter would argue that her favorite creature is the hammerhead shark.

    I would need 4 tickets if possible so my husband, myself and 2 kids could go. But 3 tickets would be ok too and hubby can stay home.

    I’ve honestly always been fascinated by sea anemone. I know they’re not the most exciting thing in the ocean, but they’re really cool to watch and the way they get nutrients and live their life is kind of cool. It’s always the quiet and unassuming ones that are the best!

    If I’m gonna go for something exciting, it would probably be jellyfish. I could watch them for hours. It’s like watching a living lava lamp lol!

    My favorite ocean creature, from either past or present, is the Megalodon, the extinct giant shark, known for its impressive size and predatory prowess.
    Megalodon was a truly colossal shark, with some estimates suggesting it could reach lengths of over 65 feet (20 meters). This makes it a formidable predator, dwarfing even the largest sharks alive today! My favorites to be around are sea turtles and dolphins, since you can get up close and they just amaze me! As for if I win, I would prefer 4 tickets but 2 would do! Thanks DMNS and MHOTC! I love love everything you do and are about!💙

    We did a unit study on creatures of the sea in our home school last fall. Sharks and eels are by far a favorite among my kids. All of their doodle books are covered in them. One of my little guys has been collecting shark teeth for years. They would love to go and see this!

    Plesiosaurus was a carnivorous marine reptile from the Jurassic period that lived for nearly 140 million years. They were air-breathing reptiles with long, snake-like necks, small heads, broad, flat bodies, short tails, and four large flippers.
