BOOM! BANG! CHEAP! Fourth of July festivities abound in the metro Denver/Boulder area. We’ve found most of the no-cost and low-cost festivals, feasts and parades to keep the family entertained. Events are listed alphabetically for easier review. We expect to add more events, as they’re announced — so check back often.
In case of bad weather or fire bans, some fireworks shows may be cancelled. However, celebrations usually go on as planned. Check back here and on event websites for updated information.

Lafayette Independence Day Fun & Fireworks
From 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Waneka Lake Park. Food from local food trucks and a beer garden with brews from Westbound & Down and Stem Coders. Kids activities including free face painting and fee-based bungee trampoline and bounce house. Live music.
Limited Handicap parking available at West Park entrance on Caria. Festival goes on rain or shine. Fireworks show at dusk, unless there is rain.
Thursday, July 2
Glendale

Glendale Fireworks
Held at Infinity Park. The evening kicks off with a screening of the movie “F1” at 7 p.m.
Gates open at 6:30 p.m., so be sure to arrive early to secure your spot in the stands or on the grass.
Bring your own blankets or lawn chairs to sit on the field and enjoy the movie comfortably.
A variety of food trucks will be on-site. But, feel free to bring your own food and beverages (no glass containers and no cookstoves or grills, please!).
Free parking is available in the Infinity Park P1 lot.

Highlands Ranch
Highlands Ranch Star-Spangled Birthday Bash
Starts at 6 p.m. at Highland Heritage Regional Park. Festive evening filled with live music, patriotic spirit, and family-friendly fun. Sunset Cinema & Drone Show
6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. While there is no Independence Eve concert and fireworks in downtown Denver this year due to construction at Civic Center Park, Visit Denver will present a fun alternative.
Sunset Cinema presents a free outdoor movie screening of “National Treasure” in Sculpture Park. Stick around for drone show viewing after the film ends.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Enjoy music from DJ Walt White starting at 6 p.m. Film begins at 7 p.m. with America 250 | Colorado 150 Drone Show after the film.
Food available onsite from Polar Bros, Cirque Kitchen, D’Maracushos Cafe, Ninja Ramen Mobile Olive and Finch (Grab & Go).
MHOTC Tip: The Denver Center for the Performing Arts offers a number of great viewing spots from within the different levels of their complex.

Colorado Rockies Post-Game Fireworks
The Rockies play the San Francisco Giants at Coors Field at 6:10 p.m., followed by a huge fireworks display. Ticket prices vary based on seat location. 2026
Erie
Erie Fireworks Show
6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Held at Erie Community Park (450 Powers St.) with fireworks launched from the roof of the Erie Community Center. Food trucks and vendors will be in the south parking lot.
Limited public parking available at the Erie Community Center beginning at 6 p.m. Alternate modes of transportation encouraged, bike racks available for use. Fireworks display starts at 9:30 p.m. 2026
Lakewood

Big Belmar Bash
Community celebration from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Belmar – Downtown Lakewood (along S. Teller St. and in Belmar Plaza). Music from Wash Park Band, kid’s activities, huge Vendor Village and food trucks. Stage is at the south end of S. Teller St. at W. Virginia Ave. Event is held rain or shine.
Drone light show starts at about 9:15 p.m. rain or shine. The show (longer than in the past) features a fleet of 300+ drones equipped with state-of-the-art LED lights. The drones perform intricate maneuvers as they illuminate the sky with a variety of colors and effects.
MIX 100 will be providing the soundtrack for the drone light show. The radio station will broadcast from the band stage on S. Teller St. Tune into 100.3 FM to listen along or stream live from your phone. 2026
Littleton
Littleton Red, White & You
5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Clement Park. Food vendors, beer & wine garden, Kids Zone (ticketed bounce houses and free entertainment), community booths, FREE concert featuring The Williams Brothers Band at the Amphitheater at 7 p.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Arvada
Arvada Fireworks Display
Arvada’s Independence Day Celebration focuses on the core of the holiday — fireworks! Gates at the Stengler Sports Complex open to vehicles at 6:30 p.m. Food trucks onsite from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fireworks start at about 9:15 p.m.
No personal fireworks, alcohol, drones, RVs, charcoal grills (propane is okay) or pets allowed. Parking is free, first-come, first-served. You can check for fireworks updates here. The park is at 11200 W. 58th Ave., Arvada. 2026
Aurora

Aurora 4th of July Spectacular
Held on the Aurora Municipal Center’s Great Lawn. Starts at 6 p.m. Food trucks, musical performances and fun activities like free face painting. Musical performances: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. — Little Moses Jones, 8 p.m. to 9:25 p.m. — Groove ‘N Motion. Fireworks launch at 9:30 p.m. and last about 30 minutes.
Free onsite parking will be available on a first come, first served basis. Event parking will be available on the east side parking lot in front of the Aurora Municipal Center building, on the west side parking lot in front of the Aurora courthouse building and in the lower south parking lot in front of the Great Lawn.
The parking garage will not be available during the event. There will be signage on-site to guide you on the appropriate spaces to park.
Don’t want to drive? Take the Aurora R-Line! Get dropped off at the Aurora Metro Station and take a short walk up to the event site. 15151 E. Alameda Pkwy. 2026

Breckenridge
Breckenridge Independence Day Celebration
Kicks off at 7 a.m. with Independence Day 10K. Firecracker 50 mountain bike race and Independence Day Parade both begin at 10 a.m. The Parade travels Main Street between Watson and Park Ave. Starting at 10:30 a.m. enjoy music in the in Blue River Plaza and family friendly activities like chalk art, dog fashion show, crafts, lawn games and more.
Free concert by Sam Grisman Project starts at 5 p.m. at Blue River Plaza. National Repertory Orchestra concert (cost: $10 to $68) at 7 p.m. at Riverwalk Center.

Brighton
Brighton Fourth of July
Carmichael Park is the site of festivities from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Food trucks, free face painting, live concert from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fireworks at end of concert.

Broomfield

Broomfield Great American Picnic
Beginning at 5 p.m. in Broomfield County Commons Park with children’s carnival ($20 unlimited play on inflatables), NurfTurf (3 games for $10 or unlimited for $15), face painting, balloon twisting and concessions.
Two Beer Gardens. Bring your ID (21+) and enjoy a brew (cash only).
Bike parade (open to all ages) at 5:45 p.m. Spinphony perform at 6 p.m. At 7:15 p.m. concert by That Eighties Band. Fireworks set off at 9:15 p.m.
Limited parking available at the Broomfield County Commons. Additional parking will be located at Legacy High School with shuttles provided from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. 13200 Sheridan Blvd.
Brush
Brush 4th of July
Brush Lions Club hosts a pancake breakfast from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the East Morgan County Library Park. Parade with floats, classic cars, tractors, horses and more starts at 10 a.m.
The annual Brush Rodeo runs from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and is one of the best around. Held at the Brush Fairgrounds. Rodeo tickets are $10. Get them here. Fireworks show held after dark about 9 p.m. 2026
Castle Rock

Castle Rock Independence Day & Fireworks
The Town of Castle Rock will host a special America 250 – Colorado 150 Independence Day Celebration at Festival Park from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Features live music by the Denver Dolls, The Castle Rock Band and Thunder Roads., food trucks and family-friendly activities including a Pie Bake-Off.
Starting at sundown (about 9:30 p.m.), a high-flying, 20-minute fireworks show will launch from Miller’s Landing to light up the night sky. To signal the start of the show there will be a three-shot salute.
Best places to view the show: Downtown Castle Rock, Metzler Ranch Community Park, Miller Park, areas of the Red Hawk neighborhood and Rock Park. Please be courteous when parking in neighborhoods.
Rain date is Friday, July 5. 2026
Commerce City

Commerce City 4thFest
The annual FREE Commerce City 4thFest takes place at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park officially starting at 3 p.m. and is open to the public.
The family festival will include live music, a bounce house, a rock-climbing wall, an alpine tubing slide, a mechanical bull and pedal carts.
This year’s event is a first-time partnership with USA Rugby for the inaugural World Rugby Nations Cup! Watch Team USA take on Portugal (at 7 p.m.), with another preceding match (at 4:15 p.m.) featuring Tonga vs. Zimbabwe in an Independence Day doubleheader.
LARGEST public fireworks show in Colorado after the second game.
Rugby match tickets are available here. They start at $32 and include both games, plus the fireworks.
Following the game, fans in attendance may sit directly on the field and view the Fireworks Celebration.
Due to limited parking, the RTD bus and rail system is encouraged. Route 62 bus stop is at the stadium’s front door. 2026

Central Park Pancake Breakfast & Parade
Start with a pancake breakfast at 9 a.m. at the South Green (29th & Roslyn). Breakfast will be on the stage. This is followed by an old-fashioned parade with bikes, trikes, wagons and scooters beginning at 10:30 a.m. 2026
Highland 4th of July Parade
9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Bring your favorite, non-motorized ride at 9:30 a.m. to the MCA at the Holiday Theater (W. 32nd & Clay St.) for a bike decorating party. Decorations provided. At 10:20 a.m., parade marches down W. 32nd Avenue to Hirshorn Park, where a fire truck will show up for a refreshing water spray. Little Man Ice Cream after-party festivities at 11:30 a.m.

Estes Park
Estes Park 4th of July Celebration
Bring a blanket or lawn chair and find a good spot along the lake. The display will include 1,800 shots in a choreographed, 25-minute show. Fireworks over Lake Estes approximately 9:30 p.m.
Estes Park FREE shuttles have extended evening hours this day to take you to all activities.
In addition: The Big Bang Concert (fee for admission — $23/adults, $13/children, $45 Front Center section including fees, ) offers a view of the fireworks along with music by FACE Vocal Band, food, local craft beer and wine at the Estes Park Events Complex. Held at Buchanan Ball Fields from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Gates open at 10 a.m.) Carnival games, live music, food trucks, log rolling competition, goat yoga, wood carving showcase and beer garden.
Kids bike parade at 11:15 a.m. around Buchanan Ponds. Bike Parade is $15 per person (includes entry to main event).
Tickets $10 online (purchase by July 3 at noon to save). $20 at gate / $15 for kids, seniors & first responders.

Firestone

4th at Firestone
Parade with floats, decorated vehicle displays, marching bands, classic cars, motorcycles, and more runs from 10 a.m. to about noon. The parade route will start at 4th and Grant, head south to Granville, over to 1st Street, and north to Grant.
After the parade, Miners Park (170 Grant Ave.) hosts tons of family-friendly activities, games and crafts.
A Makers Market will be set up along the north side of Grant Avenue, between 2nd and 3rd Streets, with local vendors showcasing handmade goods, art, and unique finds.
At 4 p.m. the main stage comes alive with live music by Captain Midnight Band, followed by Los Cheesies (6 p.m.) and Guerrilla Fanfare (8 p.m.). Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. 2026

Fort Collins Independence Day Community Celebration
Firecracker 5K and Stars & Stripes Golf Tournament both start at 7 a.m. Community celebration at City Park starts at 11 a.m. Includes: Family Fun Zone with games and giveaways, Touch-A-Truck and “A Walk Through History” — with exhibits, reenactors, historic displays and activities.

Granby
4th of July
The entire community participates in the parade on Main Street. This year’s theme is: “Stars, Stripes & Saddles,” a tribute to the town’s country-western roots. Parade starts at 11 a.m. but arrive at least 30 minutes prior due to road closures.
Directly following the parade, head to Party in the Park from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Polhamus Park for live music, BBQ lunch, family-friendly games and market vendors. Fireworks around 9:15 p.m. following the Flying Heels Rodeo. 2026
Grand Lake
Independence Day Fireworks
Fifteen-minute fireworks show begins after it is fully dark outside, around 10 p.m., so bring layers so you can be dressed accordingly. The fireworks are visible all over town. Chairs/blankets can be setup on the grassy lawn and beach areas surrounding the Headwaters Marina and Lakefront Park (1030 Lake Ave.)
It takes a lot of extra time to exit Grand Lake after the fireworks. Many venues offer music and food after the show. Prepare to spend some time in town to wait out the traffic. Show is weather and fire restriction dependent. 2026
Highlands Ranch

Downtown Street Party on Emery St. (at 2nd Ave.) from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. featuring live music on three stages, carnival games, activities, food, drinks and views of the drone and fireworks show. Musician include Foxfeather, The KYN, Good Fats and others.
Drone Show at 9:15 p.m. presented by NextLight in partnership with St. Vrain Valley School District Innovation Center’s Drone Academy. Fireworks should be visible throughout the city. Fireworks display starts around 9:30 p.m. 2026
Louisville
Louisville Fourth of July Celebration
6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Join the community for food trucks, bounce houses, face painting, henna artists and patriotic music by the Boulder Concert Band at the Coal Creek Golf Course (585 W. Dillon Rd.). You may also bring a picnic. Beverages for sale at the Golf Clubhouse.
Fireworks show will start around 9:30 p.m. Fireworks will be shot off from the Golf Course. View fireworks from the sidewalks at the golf course clubhouse and tee boxes for the driving range.
MHOTC Tip: Only ADA parking at the Golf Course. Carpool or take a complimentary shuttle (from the Louisville Rec Center at 900 Via Appia Way or Coal Creek Ace Hardware at 1343 S. Boulder Rd.) to the Golf Course. Shuttles start at 5:30 p.m. 2026
Loveland
Loveland July 4th Celebration at North Lake Park
City of Loveland’s July 4th Festival has returned for 2026! This year’s Independence Day celebration will be at North Lake Park (2750 N. Taft Ave.), featuring family fun, food trucks, vendors, and fireworks.
Lions Club Barbeque from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Food trucks and vendors from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Buckhorn Train, operated by the Lions Club, runs from noon to 8 p.m.
Kids’ Zone activities with music, face painting, games, and more go from 4 p.m. to dusk. The Loveland Concert Band performs at the Norma & Lynn Hammond Amphitheater starting at 8 p.m.
Fireworks around 9:17 p.m. launched from the north side of Lake Loveland.
In addition to North Lake Park, there are two nearby park locations to watch the fireworks display:
- Dwayne Webster Veterans Memorial Park, 401 W. 13th St.
- Benson Sculpture Garden, 1125 W. 29th St.

Niwot’s July 4th Celebration
Pancake breakfast ($10/adults, $5 kids) from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Niwot Market includes pancakes, sausages, eggs, green chiles, orange juice and coffee. Bicycle decorating starts at 8:30 a.m. and parade beginning at 11 a.m. with vintage cars, decorated bikes, bands and citizens young and old. Parade runs from Cottonwood Square and winds throughout the community. 2026

Event includes car show, bounce houses, pedal boats, Duck Derby, food vendors, beer garden, live music by Ninety Percent Nineties (2:30 p.m.), The Hot Lunch Band (4:45 p.m.) and Rick Lewis Project at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks display starts between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Bring picnic baskets and blankets or purchase food and drink from vendors. Propane grills allowed. Charcoal grilled are not.
Parking is available at the Wagon Road Park N Ride at 120th Avenue and Huron Street. Then, use the walkway under Interstate 25. Near the park, parking is designated for handicapped, staff or vendors working the event.

Parker
Parker Fireworks Show
The Town of Parker will hold a remote-only (no close seating) fireworks display that can be viewed throughout the community. The fireworks will launch at 9:30 p.m. from Salisbury North (weather permitting) and run about 18 minutes.
Salisbury Park will be open to the public that day, but there will be no additional services or activities. Limited parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The only parking will be the park’s paved parking lot (300 spots). The larger grass lots used in the past will not be available for parking in 2026.
Public parks that may provide good views of the display include Bar CCC Park, McCabe Meadows, Stroh Soccer Field and Tallman Meadow Park, as well as the Cherry Creek Trail. 2026
Sheridan

Free parking and a shuttle service will be available at Lot 15 at the corner of Coalton Road and McCaslin Blvd. across from the Coalton Trailhead. The shuttle will make round trips to and from Community Park every 15 minutes from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. No bike valet services provided – bring a bike lock.
Due to construction on Rock Creek Pkwy., no race or parade this year. Instead, the Town is partnering with Bambei Brewing to offer the community a fun way to end the day.
Stop by Bambei Brewing for live music by local 5280s Band to then watch the Louisville fireworks from the designated viewing area (the parking lot east of the brewery will be closed) – feel free to bring your chairs and blankets. 2026

4th of July in Thornton
Party starts at noon at Carpenter Park Fields. Food vendors, beer garden and yes, parachutists floating down onto the field (9:30 p.m.)
Live entertainment throughout on two stages. Performances by Vinyl Nation, Soul School, Titonic, Thornton Community Band, Christie Huff and Kory Brunson. Fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.

Westminster
Westminster 4th of July Celebration
Festivities from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Westminster City Park with activities, bounce houses, inflatables, food and beer vendors. Live music including Little Moses Jones (4 p.m. to 5:40 p.m.). Fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
Free shuttle buses run every 20 minutes starting at 6 p.m. Service animals only (no pets allowed on shuttles). Courtesy golf carts will be available at the event for those with mobility needs.
If parking at the event, please use 105th from Sheridan, or the Christopher Fields entrance from 104th. Handicap Parking is located near the fitness center. Let parking attendants or traffic officers know if you require a closer spot. These spaces are limited.
There will be a free bike valet located on the north section of the park near the parking.
Winter Park
4th of July Celebration
Pack a picnic, and pick your spot to enjoy the evening at the Rendezvous Event Center from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Join a cornhole tournament, throw a bocce ball, or jump in the free photo booth. Free concert by Buckstein from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Jam out to DJ Jen G before the drone show which will begin at about 9:45 p.m. 2026
