Denver Art Museum’s 125th Anniversary = $1.25 Admission

POSTED BY
Bryan

Great art is timeless. However, great art museums are always evolving. And our beloved Denver Art Museum is no exception, with a total makeover of the landmark Gio Ponti–designed  North Building. This year marks the 125th anniversary of one of our city’s most colorful and diverse attractions. It always has an exciting exhibit on show, with so much knowledge and inspiration to offer Denverites (and tourists) of all ages.

Throughout 2018, join the much-loved institution as they celebrate the museum’s heritage, programming and vision for the future.

The DAM was first founded as the Denver Artists’ Club in 1893. Originally formed by a small group of professional artists with the purpose of “the advancement of the art interests of Denver,” the institution has since become home to the largest and most comprehensive collection of world art in the Rocky Mountain region, amassing more than 70,000 works of art.

In honor of its milestone anniversary, on Friday, July 20, general admission for adults is just $1.25. It offers quite a stroke of savings, given the regular admission price for adults is $10 for Colorado residents and $13 for non-residents.

Remember, general admission is FREE for all youth (18 and under) every day, granting more kids access to art than ever before. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays. Located at 100 W. 14th Ave. Pkwy. (just south of Civic Center Park), Denver.

FYI – The Museum’s official birthdate is December 4, 1893.
