Going to the theater can be expensive, so any opportunity to save money on tickets is music to the ears of theater lovers on a budget. And Disney’s blockbuster musical The Lion King roars back into Denver at the Buell Theatre from October 23 to to November 16, 2025. Here’s a rare opportunity to get tickets to the popular show on the cheap:

MHOTC was lucky enough to win the ticket lottery for the performance on October 29.
Our tickets were located in the Front Orchestra, Row J — 12 rows back from center stage! The tickets were regularly $188.80 each — for a grand total of $377.60. However, we only paid $98 for the two tickets — thanks to the ticket lottery,
This does not guarantee or imply your seats would be in the same place (if you win), but it gives you an insight into the possibilities. The seats from the ticket lottery may be anywhere in the theater!

Here’s how the ticket lottery works:
All times are MST.
To enter the digital lottery, you will need to do the following:
Create a Lucky Seat account or login to an existing account.
Select which performances you want to enter or select them all.
Select whether you want one (1) or two (2) tickets.
Winners will be contacted via e-mail and text on each respective drawing date. Drawings begin at 10 a.m. and continue throughout the day as needed.
IMPORTANT: Winners have a limited window to purchase their tickets — usually just a few hours. Be sure to check your e-mail inbox or texts often on the drawing date.
If you miss the window to purchase your tickets, you’re totally out of luck!
