One of Denver’s tasty summer traditions is revved up again for its 14th year. Civic Center EATS is the largest gathering of food trucks in the Denver metro area. The tasty lunch-time caravan runs almost every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from April 30 to October 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and serves up delicious food, fresh air, gorgeous views and live music. (Excluding July 2 to 4; August 7, 28 & 29; and September 3 & 12.)
What a great way to spend a sunny afternoon! Whether you’re a downtown employee, resident or tourist, everyone can enjoy a great lunch (there’s something for every palate, even picky ones or those on a budget) and the beauty of Civic Center Park.
Metro Denver’s largest gathering of gourmet food trucks, Civic Center EATS 2019 showcases 69 deliciously diverse vendors. With approximately 25 options available each day, downtown employees, residents and visitors enjoy an authentically local lunch, while experiencing Civic Center ‘s architectural, horticultural and historic beauty.
Patrons are serenaded with live music from local artists, as they enjoy their delicious lunch at shaded bistro tables. Diners also have the option to take in the ambience of the 100-year-old Greek Theater while eating under umbrellas in the historic performance space.
In addition, attendees can now enjoy the following new additions to the event:
A beer and wine garden on Thursdays, featuring craft local beverages and picnic table seating.
A daily selection of retail trucks selling fashion, jewelry, gifts and more.
Staffed, 3-stream waste stations for trash, compost and recyclables. The Civic Center Conservancy is committed to reducing our environmental impact; as such, we require our Civic Center EATS food trucks to use only compostable and recyclable materials and containers.
A portion of the proceeds benefit the Civic Center Conservancy, the nonprofit dedicated to restoring, enhancing and activating downtown Denver’s Civic Center Park, the city’s only National Historic Landmark.
