City Floral Garden Center in Denver’s Montclair neighborhood is the longest-standing greenhouse in the city. It celebrates 115 years with a celebratory party on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Guests will enjoy live music from East High School bands, anniversary plant sales, food trucks and a display of historic photos and memorabilia of Denver’s gardening culture.

Established in 1911, City Floral still uses many of the greenhouses built by the Lammerman family. The founder Mr. Lammerman famously delivered fresh violets by bicycle along Colfax Avenue to the Brown Palace and other businesses.
Today, the garden center remains family-owned and operated with the Wickstrom family taking stewardship.
1440 Kearney St., Denver.
