For 10 years, the Asian-Pacific Association of Longmont has staged an amazing Chinese New Year celebration. This year is no different with the Year of the Rat feted on Saturday, February 8 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Silver Creek High School. Doors open at 1:30 p.m., with the Lion Dance and other performances, as well as booths and food samplings, starting at 2 p.m. New this year is a Lantern Festival and several hands-on and virtual reality activities.
