The Denver Golf Expo swings into Denver from Friday, February 9 to Sunday, February 11 at the Denver Mart. More than 12,000 beginning golfers, seasonal duffers, exhibitors and presenters will come together to get ready for this season’s play. Enthusiasts find everything golf from pro seminars to truckloads of equipment to FREE golf, discounts and show-only deals. Admission is $13, (seniors 50+/veterans and military pay $11 and kids 16 and younger $3), but gets you a ton of perks.

Start with FREE golf lessons and swing seminars. Test new 2018 clubs from top makers such as Ping, Callaway, Titleist, Taylor Made and more. A Junior Golf Center lets kids get a taste of the game and compete in challenges. Many golf courses also sell discounted offers during the show. And your ticket gets you a FREE subscription to Golf Digest.

Expo hours: Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Purchase Expo tickets in advance online (there is a service fee) or at the door. 451 E. 58th Ave., Denver.

Here’s a great one for gardening enthusiasts itching for spring. McGuckin Hardware is hosting a FREE community seed swap on Saturday, February 3, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is a great way to kick off the upcoming growing season. This is the third annual such swap that is on the must-do list of local seed savers who would like to share, gardeners who would like to learn how to save seeds and even people who want to garden from seed.

Avoid bringing any seeds collected from hybrid plants, seed older than four years and of course, no GMO seed. Frugal fashionista alert! H&M opens its 13th location in Colorado at the Shops at Northfield Stapleton (8216 Northfield Blvd.) in Denver on Friday, December 1 at noon. The new 20,000-foot-square store will be located near Macy’s, across from Victoria’s Secret. In addition to the Swedish retailer’s men and women sections, the Northfield store will also carry the H&M Kids collection.
