Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at FirstBank

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, FirstBank is planning a series of Fiesta Friday events. FirstBank’s seven Spanish Banking Centers will be hosting celebratory events for one Friday afternoon (from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.) starting September 14. The series, which is open to the public, will include FREE Hispanic-inspired food, drinks, music and entertainment, and will rotate to a different branch each week.

Learn How To Be A Good Driver – For Parents and Newbies

Before you hand over the car keys, grab your teen and attend a FREE class on responsible driving at Swedish Medical Center on Wednesday, September 19. From 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., you’ll both learn about the risks of young adult driving, what Graduated Driver Licensing is and how it impacts you and your teen. how adding a youth driver impacts insurance (really important!), and tips on how to teach your young driver to be safe.

Free College Fair At Denver Mart

mortarboardRepresentatives of some 290 colleges and universities set up information stations at the FREE Denver National College Fair on Sunday, September 30 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. It’s the place to get some guidance on finding the right college, plus important information on scholarships and financial aid. A list of the participating schools is on the website.

These include state colleges and universities, junior and community colleges, private non-profit colleges, for-profit institutions and even international options are represented. Aurora Crossings Grand Opening Promises Lots of Family Fun

The details are brief on this celebration, but it may be worth a stop for the family — if you live in the area. A new strip mall of sorts has popped up at the corner of S. Parker Rd. and E. Warren Ave.
