Fall-planted bulbs such as Dwarf Irises, Tulips, Daffodils, Alliums and Eremurus (foxtail lilies) acclimate in the ground during the winter to provide beautiful spring and summer bloom, often for years to come.
Planting perennials, shrubs, grasses, vines and trees in the fall gives them a head start on getting established, often leading to better garden performance the next year. Houseplants propagated by the horticulture staff are also available, so you can bring your gardening inside this winter.
Also on tap: FREE expert advice from the horticulture staff. Be sure to bring your own wagon to cart your purchases. Curbside plant valet is located outside the Visitors Center on York Street. 1007 York St., Denver, 720-865-3500.
