Celebrate The Kirkland joining the Denver Art Museum at a FREE, family-friendly neighborhood block party on July 27, 2025 — from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. After a year of working together to integrate the visitor experience, the event marks the full alignment of the DAM and The Kirkland and celebrates the collective power of creativity and community.

The block party coincides with the Denver Art Museum’s FREE Day on July 27, 2025.

The Block Party will include the following highlights:
FREE general admission for all ages
Artmaking at the Creative Caravan
Brief remarks and “ribbon tying” outside The Kirkland at 10 a.m.
The Kirkland Spotlight Talks from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Musical performances
Face painting
Food trucks

At a pop-up shop on Bannock St., find featured items from The Shops at the Denver Art Museum and treasures from some of our local vendors, including BOMPOM (jewelry), Sarah Christensen (ceramics), and St. Clair Designs (apparel).
NOTICE: The event includes a road closure on Bannock St. between W. 12th Ave. and W. 13th Ave. from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Parking lots on the closed block of Bannock are accessible via the alley behind The Kirkland.
