Batter up for lots of closeout deals, bargain hunters! Yes, another store has announced they’re closing several locations in the Denver metro area for good. This time, it’s Big 5 Sporting Goods that’s closing stores located in Denver and Wheat Ridge. The locations are expected to close on or around January 15, 2026, but may close sooner (based on how much inventory is left on the shelves).

Locations Closing
Thanks to several readers for spotting more locations closing! They all appear to be on the same discount schedule with their eventual closure planned for mid-January.
Denver – 10051 E. Iliff Ave.
Denver – 1430 S. Colorado Blvd.
Wheat Ridge – 5185 Kipling St.
Closeout Sale
Our team visited the location on E. Iliff Ave. on October 9, 2025 and the shelves and racks are completely full of merchandise.
Find anything and everything you need for playing just about any sport, camping, fishing & hunting, exercising and more.
As of now, everything in the store is 10% off. No additional discounts or coupons allowed.
Of course, the discounts will increase as the final day of business approaches. We suspect the discounts will be really good in late November to early December.
The key is to keep checking on the current discount every week or so. Our team will update he post as best we can.
The closeout sale is the best opportunity to find lots of deals just in time for the holidays — from stocking stuffers to big-ticketed items for the sporty types on your list.
