The Band of Toughs, creators of the sold-out and award-winning productions of Nirvamlet, I Miss My MTV, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, returns with a daring, intimate production of As You Like It at the Denver Performing Arts Complex Galleria from September 24 through October 9. Opening Night tickets to this show are 50% off regular admission.
This is Shakespeare’s classic comedy, set in the most brilliant of locations, with a group of no-holds-barred, Bard-wielding trouble-makers! Please dress appropriately for an outdoor evening adventure in beautiful Denver.
This 120-minute performance takes place outdoors, though weather-protected by the glass top, and involves short walks between locations. Folding chairs and pod-specific, socially-distanced seating will be provided.
Although the entire performance is staged outdoors, you will need to bring a face covering for times when the audience will be traveling to the next location.
The Band of Toughs adaptation of As You Like It, has garnered two Audience Choice Awards in Boulder and Fort Collins with audiences exclaiming: “I never want to see a ‘traditional’ version of Shakespeare again.”
Performances are September 24, 25 & 30, October 1, 7, 8 & 9. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the play starts at 8 p.m.
General admission tickets are $24, but the Friday, September 24 performance is $12 (50% off). Tickets may be purchased here or at the Box Office (opens at 7:30 p.m.)
